Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

judgment on an estate

I am executor of an estate. There is a judgment against it for a credit card debt. The debt is my sisters. She has the same name as my mother who has passed. My sister had claimed bankrupcy 7 years ago and this is her debt. How can they put a judgment against my mother when they dont even know who owes them?

Re: judgment on an estate

Apparently they filed the action against your mother and she did not respond. You may want to Petition to Open the Judgment, especially if it is a large judgment and especially if they did not serve your mother at her own address.
