Re: what is a jugdment?
A judgment is a ruling in favor of one party and against another party. Most commonly it refers to a money judgment which is a decision that one party owes another party money. It operates as a lien upon property owned by the party that is in debt to the other. It may be enforced by taking the property that the debtor owns through a writ of execution.
