Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania
lawsuit question
I am being sued by Capital One credit card company. I am a single mother and I have nothing. No car, no house, no job, I don't even get child support...which is the reason I wasn't paying the bill. So what can they do to someone who has nothing? How should I handle this? I have no money for a lawyer to help me. What happens if I ignore them? Would filing for bankrupcey help me or is it to late now that they already filed a suit?

Re: lawsuit question
Contact an attorney about filing bankruptcy. Once this is done court proceedings against you would be stayed. I knew a few attorneys that practice in Westmoreland County let me know if you need help finding a bankruptcy attorney.
