lawsuit

i w as just notified of a lawsuit for a 2,000 credit card debt, i never heard from this lawfirm before today, though they claim they contacted me, i would have tried to settle if they had..what do i do

You will have to respond to the lawsuit in some fashion. If you do nothing, they will get a default judgment against you for the full amount.

Usually, a collection agency files the lawsuit without all of the information that they are required to attach to the complaint. It is likely that you could file preliminary objections to the complaint and possibly get it thrown out or at least delayed until they comply.
