Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

lease company reported false debt

I leased a car 4 years ago- did absolutely everything right when I returned it and the company turned around and is trying to charge me for damage. I had the paperwork signed by the dealer showing no damage and I sent all the disputes to the lease company, dealer and BBB. They are still sending me collections notices and reported to my credit agencies. What can I do? I will not pay this debt as I do not owe it.

Re: lease company reported false debt

You can contact the credit reporting agencies and dispute the debt. That's about it unless they file an action against you or unless you file an action against them. You may have a case against them under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and/or the Pennsylvania Fair Credit Extension Uniformity Act.
