Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania
Lien
A lien against me showed up on my credit report when I applied for a mortgage. My father has the same name as me and this lien should not be against me. I am supposed to close in less than 2 weeks and I don't know how to vacate this judgement prior to that date. My father contacted the attorney representing the complainant to inform them that the lien should be against him, but they refused to take any action. As a first time homebuyer, I am afraid I will not be able to close. How do I proceed in order to clear this from my name?
