Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

I live in the state of Pennsylvania. I have recently been contacted by a collection agency for a credit card and a medical bill. I am looking to find out what the statue of limitations is for these? In addition to how do you begin to count the time for statue of limitations. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

The sol is 4 years from the date of last payment. If they have filed late, you may be able to bring a claim against them for violating federal laws. The great thing about bringing such a claim is that you can recover reasonable attorney fees, which means that you have no out of pocket attorney fees in such a case.

Whatever you do, I would strongly suggest that you NOT pay the collection agency without consulting a consumer attorney, whether its my office or another.
