Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

loaning money/personal/verbal

I loaned my girlfriend approx. seven thousand dollars to start a business, we had a verbal agreement she would pay me back. Now she says she wont pay me anything. We are no longer together. However she knows and will admit that we had a verbal agreement and the money was not a gift. can I do anything to recoup any of the money? Where would I go? Who can help me? (The business is booming) I would be happy with only $100 a month.

Re: loaning money/personal/verbal

A verbal agreement is still an agreement. You may file a complaint with the local Magisterial District Judge where she lives and, if he believes you, you may recover the amount that you agreed upon.
