How to get my money back
I went to a salon for a manicure & pedicure. the cost was $26. I gave the cashier my visa debit card for payment. The cashier told me that the card was declined. I called my bank to verify my balance. The bank verified the balance and also showed that the salon had "swiped" my card 3 times for $26. The bank advised me that their must be a problem with the machine at the salon. The cashier insisted that my card was declined and no money was collected from me. The bank lifted the "hold" on my account for the $78 so that I could go to the ATM. The cashier at the salon said that since no receipt was printed I would not be charged, and I paid $26.00 in cash. Two days later my account was debited $78.00 by the salon and because of this I was charged an overdraft of $25. I took my statement to the salon and asked for a chargeback. The salon owner refused calling it a bank error. I called the bank from the salon and the bank representative explained that although the credit card machine did not print a receipt the money was debited from my account and paid out to the salon. The salon refuses to give me my money. What can I do?

Re: How to get my money back
You are entitled to a refund from the Salon. If they refuse you can sue them in small claims court for the extra money deducted from your account plus costs. Unfortunately you do not have a receipt but your testimony should be sufficient. You can claim fraud to the Bank and they might charge back the money. Good luck
