Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Multiple filings of Civil Complaints

In Pennsylvania, there is an $8000.00 maximum civil filing limit to process through a magistrate. I have a business that owes me around $20,000.00 for services and the invoices as they age are costing me more money.

Am i able to file against my oldest invoices up to the $8000.00 limit as they age, to be able to prosecute the debt's myself through the Magistrate system?

As there are many invoices that make up the full debt, I can easily separate them into groupings up to the limit, then file again as others age, or am i obligated to take them all cumulatively?

Re: Multiple filings of Civil Complaints

It would be best to do them cumulatively, in Common Pleas Court. Otherwise, the other party could argue that the matter had been resolved. In any case, it seems you're trying to do this without an attorney. That would not be the best idea. You should talk with an attorney.
