Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania
Pay Day Advance Companies
Are they allowed to threaten a person with fraud when they have not contacted you previously about obtaining payment? They are threatening me with pressing charges of fraud and they have not even tried to work out payment arrangements nor contacted my employer for payment from my paycheck.

Without knowing more about the case, it's difficult to answer your question. It sounds like a simple civil collection case and the threat to file charges may be a violation of the Pennsylvania Fair Credit Extension Uniform Act or the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. You may want to search for an attorney in your area that practices that type of law.
