Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Payday loans

I am being threatened with wage garnishment on a payday loan that I cannot at the present time afford to pay back & they are very nasty on the phone. How can I go about stopping this or setting up some type of payment arrangements? I cannot afford to pay them at all right now.

I have other payday loans too, but they haven't gotten to this extreme yet

Re: Payday loans

Wage garnishment should not be available by the loan company. However, your contract probably authorized them to withdraw funds from your bank(The loans require direct deposit so they can get their money) You should contact an attorney to examine your contract.

I agree with what Atty. Johns told you. In addition, as a word of advice, stop taking payday loans. They are not designed to help you. They are designed to run up huge fees and put you deeper and deeper into debt.
