Paying a Judgement
Please tell me how I would pay a judgement?Do I just mail a check to the plantiff?Also,am I able to make monthly payments on a judgement?I am unable to pay the lump sum at this time.The judgement was entered on 10/05.I do not dispute oweing.Thank you

You will have to work out a payment arrangement with the creditor. It would be better to have an attorney work out the repayment plan. There is no requirement for the debtor to wait. The debtor has the right to attach your personal property and bank accounts to satisfy the debt. Any checks of payment would inform the creditor of your bank. If the creditor is reasonable you should have no problem. If the opposing attorney or creditor is unreasonable you are at risk of having more aggravation. Good Luck. Gerald Hershenson Esq.
