Can a person be held in solitary confinment in jail for safety reasons?

Yes. If they do not want or feel they need protection, have them put that in writing to the warden, asnd ask him to review and change his 'protective' solitary confinement.

How is this a "credit and collections law issue?" Its a criminal matter and you need to direct the question to a criminal law attorney. The answer is yes, however.
