Property judgement

i had a car repossed in 1995 and they put a judgment on my property in 2007, when i divoreced my wife, i am trying to sell my home and this is holding up the sell, is this legal, how do i get judgment removed, and is there a time limit on how long they can do this

First, yes this is legal. The only way to get the judgment removed is by settling with the holder of the judgment. Sometimes these judgments are assigned to people other than the holders and you may be able to resolve the problem with the assignee. There is no time limit on a judgment.
