Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania
repo car and garnish wages
I live in PA and my finances changed alot and I am not able to pay for the car. I called them and told them they need to come and get the car because I could not make the payments. They are now coming after me for almost $17,000. Can they garnish my wages or my bank account because I do not own my home?

They cannot attach your wages but they can execute on your bank account. If you have your paycheck on direct deposit, you may want to change that asap. But $17,000 seems awful steep for a deficiency on a car. I suggest getting a local attorney to contest the amount of the deficiency.
