Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Repossesion of Vehicle(Voluntary)

we voluntarily surrendered our vehicle to chrysler due to my wifes ongoing illness and lack of income assoc.with the illness..we had a negative equity in the vehicle and owe approx $6000.00 on the note..we have been unable to pay for 6 months and they are getting pushy , and rightfully so.. We know we owe it but cannot afford to pay it, now that her long term insurance payments have stopped...this took another $2800.00 out of the house and it is all i can do to keep a roof over our heads and some food on the table with my job. They have now threatened to go after any assetts we have and we need to know what they can legally take or lein against..mainly our interest is our home..I also have a truck that i own and it is for sale...any help would be appreciated...thanks..btw, we cannot go thru bankruptcy and refinancing at this time would have little equity due to a previous refi to pay some bills and do house work...

You need to get a payment plan that you can afford, in writting. You should speak with a lawyer to discuss all of your rights and responsibilities. I offer free consultations.
