Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Son incurs credit card debt

Son is additional user on a credit card in my name. He has been making timely payments on the card for the past few years, however is planning on moving out of house and my fear is he will not pay balance due on card. Debt incurred is approx. $3,500, all incurred by him. I have never used the card. Son is 22 years old and gainfully employed. What are my rights if he refuses/neglects to pay debt?

Re: Son incurs credit card debt

If he doesn't pay, get a big stick and beat the caca out of the ungrateful little bast_rd! If that doesn't work, you cancel the card without telling him, and sue him in small claims court.

Crying before the judge a little (not too much) wouldn't hurt either. Act hurt, not mad.

PS - If son is actually a problem, disown him, make another kid and raise this one right.
