Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania
statute
does the collections statute of 4yrs start at last payment to a credit card company or when they closed the account for example on 03/2001 after getting no payments--then credit reports shows they sold the account to a collection company on o 03/2003? Which now they are trying to collect.I am confused on when the statute starts.

Re: statute
If you made no promise to pay then the last payment would be the breech of contract that the statute of limitations would run from. I offer free consultations.

Re: statute
4 years from the last time you acknowledged the debt in any way...in other words, from the last payment, from the last time you told them on the phone, "yeah, that's my debt" or anything like that.
