Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Statute Limitations Credit Card Debt

What is the statute of limitations in PA for credit card debt? How does this affect any notice or filing by their lawyers? My brother has $30,000+ credit card debt that he cannot pay off.

Thanks in advance

Re: Statute Limitations Credit Card Debt

You asked about statute of limitations regarding credit card debt.

Generally the SOL on consumer debt is four years in PA. A creditor only needs to file a claim in court within the four year period to prosecute a claim.

I would suggest contacting a lawyer and investigating bankruptcy.

Roger
