Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

statute of limitations in pa

I am in the process of repairing my credit and left with past credit card bills..from my marriage.

I have a credit card debt from N.C.Bank owed 3044. opened on 11/91 closed on 11/01..bought by asset acceptance, bumped up to 4342. Opened on 12/01. last reported on 12/05. What is the statute of limitations on this debt? If it is up ... what can I do to fix my credit report, can it be removed? if so how?

Re: statute of limitations in pa

The statute of limitations is 4 years from the last time you acknowledged the debt. You can acknowledge the debt by making a payment, or by saying "yeah, that's my account/debt" when collectors call.
