Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Can the statute start over if I retain a lawyer

I retained a lawyer to file bankruptcy but never went through with it. All of the credit card debt is past the 4 year statute. Would that have an effect on the 4 years starting over. I never acknowledged the debt to collectors.

The Statute of Limitations does not start over because you hired an attorney. There is something of an argument that it starts over if you make a partial payment but even that is not that clear of an argument in Pennsylvania.
