Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania
ID Theft
My ex husband and I no longer get along however, when we did get along he gave me permission to put a phone in his name, he is now claiming he did not and trying to get me for identity theft. We were still married but separated at the time; the only witness I have is another one of his ex girlfriends. I thought the bill was paid in full because I transferred the number to comp. B; Today a police officer called me about a $54 bill and I paid that but found another bill from the same acct. (Apparently they split bill..basic, non-basic, etc.) He did give me permission but I have a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and he could really try to destroy me with his false accusations. He has tried to call Children & Youth - failed; then told officers I ran over his foot - failed; he tries to make trouble all the time with me! He never paid a bill or had a bill in his name even when we lived together - I also never really went after child support until recently - he met a girl that does not like kids so if he doesn't see them much, I feel he should pay for them. But anyway, He gave me permission; now I wonder if he is going to go after me for this otehr bill maybe I should have not paid the first one off - simply because he is lying!!!
