unauthorized automatic bank withdraw
per phone conversation cable company was told to discontinue auto withdraw for monthly bill.We left that cable co and have not had time to return equipment.They withdrew over $400. directly from out bank acct. for equipment. Are they able to do this?

This is an interesting question. I think the answer is no. I haven't seen any civil lawsuits yet on the issue but I expect to see a lot of class actions in the coming years over these automatic withdrawals.
