Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

unauthorized debits

is it legal for a company to charge a payment to a credit card that is not authorized? the girl called for auth and i told her not to do it, i had to call my husband and ask him and id call her back. she didnt hear from me right away so 2 days later she put the payment on his mac/visa. she never talked to him, and i told her NOT to do it. i called her back, and told her that she needed to credit the debit back into his account because i had checks out, and she could put the payment thru on monday. the credit took 4 days to get back into the account. this caused a few checks to be returned ( and cost $32.00 per check )and now there is not enough money in the account to cover the payment and they are demanding payment today by 5pm or they are going to take away the car. please let me know if this is legal.......

Re: unauthorized debits

Contact your bank first. Most will credit overdraft fees when a debit is credited back. If they won't help threaten legal action against the compan that charged the payment without auhtorization. I offer free consultations.
