Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
1)Is it illegal in the state of pennsylvania to list a college degree on a reusme which you do not have?
1a) is it a criminal offense, if so, what is the maximum fine/penalty and what are the statutes of limitations?
2)Is it illegal in the state of pennsylvania to list a college degree on a job application which you do not have?
2a) is it a criminal offense, if so, what is the maximum fine/penalty and what are the statutes of limitations?
I am asking about the act of listing it on the resume/job application, not actually producing a faked or forged credential or transcripts, just simply the act of listing it on the resume/application when applying for a job.

Illegal maybe. Stupid definitely.
1) When they find out you will be fired for cause so no unemployment for you.
2) Possibly filing a false business record but When they find out you will be fired for cause so no unemployment for you.
2a) Criminal penalties are the least of your worries. Once you're fired and you apply for new jobs they are going to ask why you were let go. What are you going to do then lie again?
