Are first year law students permitted to have outside employment while attending school?

I agree with Mr. Pascal. If you or your parents are paying your tuition to attend law school the law school has no right to dictate whether or not you can work or how many hours you can work. It's different if you are in a work-study program with the school paying all or part of your tuition.

Law students are students, not serfs. You may do whatever you want.

double check with your school but i believe law students are limited to no more then 20 hours of work per week while in full time status!
