Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

15 year old female 18 year old male

In the State of Pa is it a criminal act if a child is conceived? Is there legal repurcussions for the parents, the parties involved? Is the State able to press chareges against the male? If so, what type of charges could be the result? Is it a criminal act?

Re: 15 year old female 18 year old male

Criminal act for a child to be conceived? Huh?

It is NOT statutory sexual assault for an 18 year old to have sex with a 15 year old. It MAY be, AT MOST, corruption of minors (criminal charge), so long as the sex was consensual. HOWEVER, very few District Attorneys will want to prosecute a boyfriend for having sex with his girlfriend who is only 3 years younger.

Legal repurcussions for the parents of an 18 year old??? None. 18 year olds are adults.

Of course there is the legal issue of child support that, in this case, the 18 year old will have to provide--financial support to the "mother" of the child.
