17 year old son
my 17 yr old son was pushed by his step father and then he fought back. the step father ended up in the hospital for 3 days.
the stepfather wants to drop charges. what will be the outcome for my son

The Commonwealth's discretion in prosecuting is plenary; that is, they can prosecute irrespective of whether the step-father wants to drop charges. You should consult private counsel. Feel free to call our offices.

Your question doesn't give enough information. Was your son charged as a juvenile or an adult and what were the charges?
