Re: Age of consent type of question

Virginia law was explained by Atty. Kaufman. In Pennsylvania, you could be charged with corruption of minors.

Above all, if for some reason you're going to do this, DON'T take her out of Pennsylvania, and DON'T have her go out of Pennsylvania. Then you have a problem of taking a minor over a state line for criminal activity.

Re: Age of consent type of question

This is a popular question.

As an adult having sex with a person over the age of fifteen but not yet 18 you commit the crime of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. The law reads as follows:

18.2-371. Causing or encouraging acts rendering children delinquent, abused, etc.; penalty; abandoned infant.

Any person 18 years of age or older, including the parent of any child, who ... or (ii) engages in consensual sexual intercourse with a child 15 or older not his spouse, child, or grandchild, shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor

Class 1 Misdemeanors have the following potential penalty:

18.2-11. Punishment for conviction of misdemeanor.

The authorized punishments for conviction of a misdemeanor are:

(a) For Class 1 misdemeanors, confinement in jail for not more than twelve months and a fine of not more than $2,500, either or both

That's your answer. Of course if you marry her then there would be no crime at all. You would been emancipation or consent or her parents for that.

Good luck.
