Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
I want to apply for a job in a PA public school. I have a citation from 2010 for a summary offense of disorderly conduct/hazardous. It was for littering. Will this show up on my criminal history clearance, and will it make me ineligible to work in a public school. I don't want to waste the money on clearances, if this will make it impossible to work in public schools.

A summary offense will show up on criminal record. However, I think if you explain to the school exactly what happened you should be okay. It's for littering not for something crazy like causing a public disturbance. I think you should be alright. Perhaps you should attach a letter with your resume and application, explaining what happened?
