Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

ARD Question

I'm on the ARD program and was ordered to 2 years probation and restitution. I am delinqunet in my restitution fines and was told I could be a technical violator if the fees weren't paid by June and ARD could be revoked or extended. Do I need an attorney at the hearing and what can I do to make sure I get an extension? Would a public defender do or would I need to hire a ''good'' lawyer? I really do want to pay it off and put this behind me and just get it out of my hair.

Re: ARD Question

In this world you get what you pay for...a public defender will not give you the time or the necessary advice you desire, you need to retain legal counsel to request from the court and the DA's office an extension. Failure to do so will cause you to be in violation of your ARD program and therefore may serve actual jail time.

My office also offers flat rate pricing and free consultations, for additional information please visit my firm's website at www.AlleghenyAttorneys.com or by calling my office at 412.731.0865.
