Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

ARD Question

My situation is similiar to the probation question stated on this forum. I am on probation and I completed my community service but my fines are delinquent. I also got a letter stating my fines had to be paid or I'd be summoned to a hearing and cited as a technical violator. Probation could be revoked or extended. Could I just call my probation officer and ask for the extension? Is there any way to fix this without hiring an attorney? Money is extremely tight right now and I have all intentions of paying the fines and restitution but I just need an extension. Any help or advice is extremely appreciated in this matter. I, too, have a child and have been able to keep this whole situation quiet and away from my family.

Re: ARD Question

Retain legal counsel ASAP or you risk violating the terms of your probation and in turn incurring additional criminal charges...an attorney can request an extension on your behalf and instruct you on what to do in your current situation.

My office also offers flat rate pricing and free consultations, for additional information please visit my firm's website at www.AlleghenyAttorneys.com or by calling my office at 412.731.0865.
