Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

I was arrested on 11\16\2009 for "Criminal Mischef" and "Harrasment" because a house in the same apartment complex I am in got egged. The problem being that 1) I was sleeping as it was 1100 at night. 2) The "victim" is legally blind and says she cannot see, yet saw me walk into my door over 50 feet away. Again, 11 at night. There is also a pine tree that blocks the view from her apartment to mine. Then again at 100AM the police knock on the door and storm in and arrest me. Didnt read me my rights, dodnt tell me I was getting arrested, just put me in hand cuffs and threw me in the car. Now the state of PA is telling me that I cant get a public defender so I need to hire a lawyer. I dont have the money for that, so I am looking for advice on how to handle this because I am not pleading guilty to a charge I had nothing to do with. I feel as though I should fight it to the end. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Also, there are attorneys in many locations who will take cases on reduced fees. You should definitely seek counsel. Trying this yourself could be an absolute disaster.
