Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Being arrested for harboring a runaway.

A family member has been arrested for harboring a runaway. They were not living in this house where the runaway came to, does not rent this house, is a friends house. But, this person was warned that if this runaway came to this house, and was told not to leave, or reported to be there, and this person was caught while the runaway was there that they would be arrested. No prior criminal record other than traffic tickets. Runaway was in a group home and kept running away. Member is still in jail, and family will not bail member out. What are the possible punishments?

Re: Being arrested for harboring a runaway.

Dear Sir or madam:

This person could be facerd with kidnapping charges amoung some other lesser charges. The most serious could be kidnapping because it is a felony. It could carry a lengthy jail sentence upon a conviction.

Your friend should certainly retain counsel in this matter.

I would be avaliable to assist you in this matter and an attempt to lower bail. Please contact me if you wishn to speak about this further.
