Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

arrested in philadelphia

i was arrested in phildelphia for driving with a fake license. The state police took me to dauphin county which is a 2 hour drive from philadelphia, and requires a lot of travel time and difficulity obtaining a lawyer. I understand penn dot is in harrisburg but couldn't they have kept this in my county

What? They drove you to Dauphin?? Huh?? Why? I guess I'm missing something. In criminal cases, the proper county is the county where the crime was committed...which, if you're telling me everything, is Philadelphia. Give me more info here...something is missing from the facts.
