assault - defamation of character
While coaching a girls softball game, at the end of the game while shaking hands, a coach from the other team came right up and chest butted me in the line. A heated exchange of words took place then we were separated. the president of the league recieved numerous calls saying that I started it. We have caught these coaches in a lie before this season. I have been suspended from coaching and he has not.
Question could this be considered assault and in the aftermath could this be considered defamation of character? What can I do about it?
