attempted mureder

if ther was a fight between two guys and one guy took out a metal pick and stabed the guy in the head a few times and the boy had to go and get them surgury removed from his head. does he get attempted murder?

He may certainly be charged with attempted murder. A lot depends on the District Attorney and the police.
