Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
Attempted Theft?
I was stopped by the police while attempting to steal a street cone. They took our information at the time but I was issued no citation at that moment. I recently received a call telling me to call the station because they were going to file charges. Can a person be charged with attempted theft? What are the penalties for three people stealing a street sign/cone?

Re: Attempted Theft?
I think you're probably looking at some type of summary if you're an adult. It will probably be "malicious mischief" or something like that rather than a theft charge.
