Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

no attorney @prelim hearing

I have a prelim hearing tomorrow. my husand has filed a complaint of me obtaining his rx for percocet w/out his permission. I made an appt w/ pub def and when i wnt yesterday, they told me my husband makes too much money. i now don't have the time or funds to get an atty. I'm scared to death to go w/out counsel. what do i plead? can the judge re schedule the prelim hearing? my husband surely isn't going to pay for this but i'm a stay at home mom with no access to the money.

Re: no attorney @prelim hearing

go into the court room and tell the judge that you want a court appointed lawyer and explain to the judge that you can't afford one and tell him why. DO NOT WAIVE THE PRELIMINARY HEARING WITHOUT A LAWYER. tell the judge that you may be ok to waive if you have a lawyer, but without a lawyer, you will not waive. Good Luck.
