bad check charge

i live in PA and i wrote a check that bounced and am being charged with misdamenor bad checks (1 check) and theft by deception , what is the worst that will happen at court

The worst that will happen at the Preliminary Hearing is that you will be held for Court. After that, it isn't possible to say without knowing the particulars of your case.

In any criminal case, even a Summary Offense, you should get a local attorney to represent you. The reason is that only an attorney that regularly practices in a county can even guess at what the likely outcome of a case might be.
