right to bench trial
i want to be tried by a judge[bench trial] my attorney says that the dist. attorney can demand that i go in frony of a jury .is this true?

Yes, the District Attorney can demand a jury trial. This is as a result of a Constitutional Amendment to the PA Constitution a few years ago. That doesn't mean that the DA WILL request a jury trial, he just has the option to do so.
