my borthers being held in jail charged with arson

my brothers being held in jail charge with arson. am aloud going around asking question to find out answers about is where abouts at the time of the fire accured basicaly like a investigator to help him to get the charges dropped? also what types of restriction does investigator or police officer upon questioning suspects? because my brothers in jail charged but waiting for his plimanary hearing while these to investigators are still asking people questions about the matter are they aloud even if the charge my brother already an ruin is life and career? please help me with the answers thank you.

Defendants are always at a disadvantage in the criminal justice system. They have the power of the state against them and, unless they have a great deal of money, they have an overworked, underpaid staff of public defenders for them.

It is unlikely that the charges are going to be "dropped." Arson is a very serious crime.
