Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
my boyfriend has a criminal history. he was put on probation but he kept failing his drug tests. the back judge sentenced him to one - two years in state prison for a technical violation. is that wrong? how can we fight it?

Let's review; you boyfriend knew he was going to be drug tested yet kept taking drugs anyway. Even though I'm sure his PO told him that if he failed his drug tests he would go to prison. Now he's in prison.
Part of getting probation instead of jail time is that your boyfriend was to act like a law abiding citizen. He did not. Other than that he would not have gone to prison.
What worries me is that you condone his use of illegal drugs.
