Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

My boyfriend and I were employed at the same business. He was recently fired for stealing a $20 lottery ticket. The day I caught him, he paid back to the store $50 hoping they wouldn't call the police, and obviously he was fired.

Later, I was informed that they were taking his entire paycheck, $287 otherwise they would still call the police. Whatever.

Now they want me to pay an additional $200 that they are going to deduct from my paycheck to make up for all their business losses since January, otherwise they'll call the police on him. He is not responsible for all business losses since january, there have been several cashier and gas pump errors, not to mention another employee that was caught stealing in February.

When I asked them about it, they told me they were change the total amount from $375 to $500. (resulting in the $200) I feel like this is illegal.
