Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
My boyfriend has a Preliminary hearing coming up and I'm not sure what to expect as far as whether a plea deal is possible, or what the possible sentence would be.
This is his 3rd drug offense over the course of 11 years (selling), and in this case he is accused of having 6 OxyContin pills.
What kind of sentence should we expect and does it seem likely that he would be able to get a plea deal?
So far I've heard 3 years based on his record, but would that be 3 definite years in jail, or could he be out earlier for good behavior?

Does he have a lawyer?
Hopefully, he will talk to you if your boyfriend doesn;t object...
Hopefully, your boyfriend is getting or will get apparently-needed treatment...
I wish you both good luck---
He will not be sentenced at the preliminary hearing--that is just a hearing to determine whether the case should proceed further in the court system
