Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
My boyfriend sean got hit by a car when he was riding his bike, at the scene the cops cut off his clothes in doing so they found an empty baggie of herion. He was uncounious when all this was happening. He was in the hospital for a couple days and at the time neither of us knew that the locol cops where charging him with anything. Also we where in the middle of moving to a different county. So since we moved we never got any court papers saying that he had court or even that he was being charged. Yesterday we got pulled over and when they ran his name it came up that he had a warrant for not going to court on possession charges and a violation. He was also already on probation and his probation officer put out a bench warrent for him b/c he missed a meeting while he was in the hospital. I tryed calling and telling the probation officer about the accident but he didnt want to hear it and he didnt belive me he thought that sean just didnt want to come in. Can you please tell me that if getting a lawyer would me get him out sooner or if it would be the same out come with a public defender? He is the sole provider for me and my daughter and with out him we are going to lose everything our house our car. thanks

You need a lawyer for two reasons
The criminal charges and the accident case
i am certain that my presence would be of tremendous help to him....
This is Chester county, I assume, and I do go to court there a lot.
It also doesn't have to cost a fortune....
