Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
my boyfriend was suppose to do time in york pennsylvania for his 17th driving w/o a license he was sentanced to 6 months. I had our daughter the day before he was suppose to go, so he did not turn himself in. hes on probation and owes demestic relations. he was on the run for 4 months and got caught now hes in jail in franklin county. there trying to violate him for probation now and there saying he could do 2 years for demestics for not showing up for 4 court dates all before he does his 6 months in york. this is a very long time for such petty crimes. please give me any advice you can.

He's been caught driving without license 17 times. Which I would represent only of the portion of the times he was on Pennsylvania road without a license. This is not a petty crime as each time he went out on the road he had no insurance. Which means if he caused an accident he had no resources to help the people whose property he destroyed or pay the medical bills of the people he might have hurt.
He also has failed to appear in court 4 times to answer for failure to support a child or children he fathered. So another woman who has to struggle to raise a child without any financial support from the child's father.
These are NOT petty crimes as the show a total lack of responsibility to society in general and to his own flesh and blood.
My advice is be prepared that you will have to support your daughter all by yourself.
