Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
If anyone can help - my brother was on house arrest for driving under suspension & fleeing & eluding (he left the car & ran when the police came after him) - He's been on ha since Oct. - he was due to be released from ha with 3 yrs probation on aug 3rd. His pre-trial po had no problems with him gave him about 5 windows a week for aa meetings & such plus was open to calls for necessary windows(appts, etc) In May he got a new po - she came into the relationship referencing an argument he had previously had with a detective ( not a charge - an argument about somebody else) She cut all of his windows, refused him windows for job interviews, refused to let him enter a tattoo apprenticeship, refused his aa meeting windows, & basically made life difficult for him. He was very careful not to violate because he was afraid of her & was close to getting off ha. last week she searched his house 3 times - the 3rd time she came in with 10 police officers ransacked the house-including his mothers room - cuffed him & took him to jail. She claimed that it was for a positive drug test a month & 1/2 ago (that he claims is impossible) & a pocket knife found in his dresser. I tried to call her - she was very rude & said she didn't have to give me information. I called her supervisor - same story. I tried today to find out when his hearing is as he has been in for a week. Same story. This kid is 24 years old, has a 7th grade education, mild learning disabilities, no violent criminal history, no drug related criminal history, & has already served almost 9 months of house arrest for something most people would only get a fine for - all because he is too poor to afford a lawyer. What can I do to help him?
