Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
I called the cops on a friend because he broke my car windshield during a fight we were having. A few days later we agreed that he would pay for the damages that were made, but then he was taken into custody and charged with criminal mischief, assault and disorderly conduct. I'm trying to get the charges dropped for him because we settled everything outside of the courts. Is there anything I can do for him? He's facing a year in prison if he gets charged for this because he is on probation.

Call the District Attorney in the appropriate county to get the charge withdrawn. Also tell the arresting officer that you will not testify and want the charge withdrawn.
